About Us

Hello! I’m the owner of Gastrobar La Fonda de Caleta, and I’d love to tell you a little about our story. This place was originally called La Fonda de Paché, a heartfelt tribute to someone very special to me. Pache was a person who always supported me and gave me the confidence to start this dream. Today, we carry his spirit in everything we do here.

I was lucky to learn so much from Mrs. María de los Ángeles, Pache’s wife—a wonderful woman who taught me how to prepare every dish on our menu. From octopus in sauce and traditional mojos to sancocho, fish broth, fish tacos, papas arrugadas, croquettes, and many more. Little by little, I added my own personal touch to these traditional recipes, always preserving the authentic flavor she passed on to me.

At our fonda, we want you to feel right at home. Here, you’ll find not only the typical flavors of the Canary Islands, but also the opportunity to enjoy Colombian cuisine made to order, such as ajiaco, bandeja paisa, chicken or mixed sancocho, arepas, empanadas, and mazamorra. And of course, we couldn’t leave out our delicious organic Colombian coffee, the perfect finishing touch to a meal made with love.

Our space is calm, cozy, and family-friendly. While you enjoy your meal, you can also take in the beautiful view and the refreshing sea breeze.

Everything we do here is filled with love and gratitude. This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s our way of sharing stories, flavors, and moments with you.
